Help!!! When...

Help!!! When our answering feature picks up an incoming call, it asks for a mailbox number instead of playing the greeting message I have enterened into the system. How can I remove that?

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue with your phone or message systems.
If you still need help with this issue, may I ask:
1) I see that this is a 2-line phone system, so may I ask if one or BOTH lines are being used AND if both lines, does this happen on just one line or both?
2) What landline phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line(s)?
3) Has an OUTSIDE phone been used to TEST for your greeting message - and that is the phone where you are hearing the "mailbox number" request?

Well, we only have one line, but sometimes the "line2" button lights up, too I just called our number twice from an outside phone, and the first time it answered with the correct message.But the second time, it answered with : "Welcome to the voice messaging system. Please enter your mailbox number". both calls came in on line 1.

2) What landline phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line(s)?

And:

How many rings were heard IN THE CALLING PHONE - before EACH of those greetings/announcements?

I have it set to 4 rings before the answering feature comes on. The phone service provider is Century Link through Dish Network.

OK - IF you can, please set the number of rings of the Panasonic system to its MINIMUM value (2 rings I believe) and then repeat at least TWO TEST CALLS - to TEST if the Panasonic system picks up and plays its greeting in a RELIABLE fashion.

Let me know if you need the steps to set the rings on the Panasonic system.

I tried it twice on two rings, and the answering system worked perfectly! I never would have guessed that could be the problem, but it looks like you have solved it!I will be watching this for a couple of days to see if keeps up the good work.
