Technician's Assistant: What's the brand/model of your phone system?

I think it is western electric wall mounted phone - old

Technician's Assistant: How long has this been going on with your phone system? What have you tried so far?

Problem has to do with work in the area I believe as recording when I dial the number says "cannot take your call now- please leave a message." Also when I can get through and get an answer, we talk for a while and then the line goes dead.

Technician's Assistant: Anything else you want the Smartphone Expert to know before I connect you?

This has occurred for several weeks now. A lot of fiber being laid in the area near my parent's house. They are in their 90's and really need communication. I have a call into our public service office and they were suppose to phone Atlanta and have someone contact me on my cell phone(###) ###-####to advise procedure for solving the problem. No call to this point and I spoke with their office around 2:00 PM CDT this afternoon
