It has never shown me who is calling and I have had the phone for approx 3 months

Hi,

It will only be able to match the incoming caller number to entries in your phonebook if you have Caller ID setup with your provider as otherwise the phone doesn't receive any details of who is calling.

If you do have the Caller ID setup, then you do need to ensure that the names fit on 1 line of text on the display.
