It worked yesterday. we have checked all locations. phones all have same situation. no dial tone. line in use message. cannot locate "line in use"

Initially, re-confirm and post back with the complete model number of the Panasonic main/base unit.

Still, let's try check and review the basics. Proposed preliminary tries (if have not been done):

  • • temporarily turn off/dis-connect the batteries of ALL the handsets;
  • • do the same and disconnect the main/base unit;
  • • using another phone, call your home number;
  • • note if it would be busy, would ring, voice mailbox or voice attendant;
  • • re-install the main/base unit and call again your home number;
  • • note if there would be a change in "...busy, would ring, voice mailbox or voice attendant...";
  • • re-install the battery on 1 of the handset;
  • • try again calling your home number;
  • • repeat with all the other handsets;
  • • in most instances, it would be a service issue;
  • • bring this to the attention of the phone service provider.
