I bought a five-phone Uniden TRU 8866 5.86 GHz cordless system about a decade ago. Recently we moved into a one-floor condo. The base station is in my study, and as I walk away from the base study on the same floor, my reception deteriorates and I at times lose the entire connection. Are there "extenders" that could increase the range over which the phones would work in my condo? Or would you recommend buying a new 5-phone cordless system? If the latter, I noticed a 5-phone 1.95 GHz system selling for just over $100, but with lower GHz, would it have as much range as my current TRU 8866 system?

Recently we moved into a one-story newly renovated condo. The base unit of my TRU 8866 5-phone cordless system is in my study, and given scanning availability, I no longer need a two-line system, a one-line system would be adequate. However, at our new condo, as I walk away from my base unit, the reception deteriorates rapidly (even less than 100 feet away, though not in a straight line). Does Uniden have accessories that serve as range "extenders"? Or would you recommend instead buying one of the new 5-phone cordless systems? From your website I noticed you are selling a 5-phone cordless system with 1.95 GHz speed for just over $100. But does it have the range of my TRU 8866 5.8 GHz system? What would you recommend I do?

I would suggest upgrading your system due to the age of it.

The 1.95GHZ will cover your entire condo without any issues at all.
