Customer Question

I have my main Pansonic in my Kitchen dinning area and my second phone both came together as a set. Problem is my second phone is connected to powers trans. in my den and there is no phone line. Now the phone rings but all I get is a click and no talk, I can't find my info that came with the phone. I believed I missed something when installing same.
JA: How old is the phone?
Customer: I am not sure maybe two or three years its a (white KX-TGE A20) I THINK THE PRINT IS SO SMALL I CAN HARDLY READ IT.
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: i DON'T RECALL, I DID MOVE IT TO MY LIVING ROOM ON THE 1ST FLOOR AND IT WORKED FINE . IS THERE A POSSIBILITY THAT BEING ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF MY DEN THAT I'MHAVING THIS DIDCONNECT?
JA: Anything else you want the Phone Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: ALL I CAN SAY AT THIS TIME IS THAT WHEN THE BATTERY IS LOW THE WINDOW OF THE PHONE STATES (CHARGE FOR 7 HOURS) WHEN NOT IN THE BASE.

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

I'm Greg and will do my best to assist with this issue today.

Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) The FULL Model Number of the phone system you are working with? If this is a cordless system, that model should be printed on a sticker on the bottom or back of the MAIN base station (model sent is for a cordless handset).

2) Can you CONFIRM that when the handset is MOVED CLOSER to the MAIN BASE it starts to function properly?

3) Have the batteries in ANY of the handsets been replaced recently - or EVER?
