Is the Vtech base station plugged in and powered on? Any sign of life on the base station - does it charge the handsets?

Also check the phone line connection - is it connected to the base station, and also connected to the wall?

Do you have any other phones available? If so, are they able to get a line connection?

If you don't have any other phones available, can you test the Vtech on a different line?
