Customer Question

I have a Panasonic telephone. Over the last month I have received about 25calls where the caller had to leave a message. It seems as though a generic voice suddenly answered to take a message. My voice was no longer on there. Unfortunately, NONE of the messages ever reached my phone. I discovered this when many of them asked why I did not return a phone call. It finally dawned on ,me that my answering machine waws not recording these calls. HELP?????
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: Be back in a minute!
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: This is model # KX-tG4731 and mode #KX-TG47338 I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Verizon trying to get the answers but, in the end, he suggested it was the answer machine I had to deal with!!
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: only that I have had this phone for a few years -It worked fine up until a month ago The voice that answered was a generic one that asked them to leave a message...which they all sais they had done that. Unfortunately none of them were on my phone.

Have you tried calling the Verizon voicemail number to check if the messages are stored there?
