Customer Question

I have a vtech cordless telephone, model CS6729-3. I have been unable to receive or send phone calls for the last few days. I bought a new set and have been charging the phones. Presently, I still am not able to get a dial tone. Could you help provide some support?
JA: Who is your email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.)?
Customer: Gmail
JA: How do you access your email most often? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?
Customer: web browser
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I bought a new set of phones, exact same model CS6729-3. I just finished the time and date entry, but am not able to receive a dial tone.
JA: Anything else you want the email expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I installed a new LED path light along my walkway. The directions stated there may be interference with electronic signals. I disconnected the LED from the electric line, but still am not able to receive or send via telephone. I also purchased new phones thinking perhaps the problem was batteries in the phones. None of these solutions have been working.

Can you give me the serial number please?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
The serial number is *****

It sounds like they need to be paired to the base.

Did you do this?

Customer: replied 8 months ago.
I'm not certain what paired at the base means. One of the phones (in another room) has been sitting in the new cradle for over an hour and still has not begun charging. It reads "out of range".

All 3 phones now show a handset number on the screens. I still am not able to receive a dial tone. I couldn't tel fro your offer of assistance for $40 if it was refundable. Could you clarify?

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

I'm Greg and will do my best to assist you today.

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?

2) Were you having ANY ISSUES with your phone service - BEFORE purchasing this system?

3) Do you still have an OLD phone system connected to the phone line?

Hi again,

I see it has been a few days and I haven't seen a response on this page, so I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue OR if the issue was resolved?

I look forward to any further questions or results that you may have.

Thanks, ***** *****
