we have a KX-TG7652AZ phone and if you dont get to it to answer it quickly, a fax signal sounds and you cannot answer the client on the other end. How can we disable the fax from doing this?

2) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?

3) Do you actually have a FAX machine - connected to the same phone line?

1. Not long had this phone, and it has pretty much done it since we bought it.
2. We are in New Zealand (dont know if you knew that) and we use Spark (NZ version of Telecom)
3. Yes, we have a Canon MB5360 Maxify which is our printer/fax combo

Yes I noted your location, but sometimes this system "gets messed up" and does not display the CORRECT location ... thanks for confirming.

Back to the issue, have you tried disconnecting the FAX system from the phone line, and leaving ONLY the Panasonic base unit connected to the phone line?

If so, does that allow the Panasonic to work correctly?

AND - did you have a DIFFERENT phone connected BEFORE getting this Panasonic system?

I see it has been a few days and I haven't seen a response on this page, so I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue OR if the issue was resolved?

I only ask because sometimes WHERE and HOW you connect the phone in combination with the FAX/Printer has an effect on when the FAX picks up the call and when it will go to the phone (the Panasonic).

I look forward to any further questions or results that you may have.
