Purchased a new Panasonic Telephone but am having trouble

Customer Question

Purchased a new Panasonic Telephone but am having trouble getting it set up. Model is KXTGC210 or KXTGC212 or 213. Cant figure out how to retrieve messages and the blinking light stays solid instead of blinking. When I press VM it asks for a password.
JA: Just to clarify, what's the exact make and model of your machine?
Customer: Its a KX-TGC222S Digital Cordless Phone
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Just purchased it last Wednesday and have never fully got it set up .
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Well just need to have someone help me walk through it to set it up.

Hi, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Which system is used please;

  • Voice Mail (VM) of your phone company
  • answering system built-in into the Panasonic
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
Recorded my own voice but when I call my number it is the prerecord end message ( original one from my phone provider)
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
I am not $26 to have you call me. I will just take the
Phone back and
Purchase one that is easier to set up.
Expert:  Louie replied 9 months ago.

It would appear that the phone company's Voice Mail is enabled.

Would you prefer the answering system of the Panasonic?

And who is your phone service provider please? (the phone company)
