Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your system.
To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) Can you CONFIRM the FULL Make (brand) and Model Number of the system you are working with?
2) The AGE of the system?
3) WHEN this issue first began (or was noticed)?
4) When you mention you entered a CODE (after pressing MENU) and scroll, were you actually able to SCROLL, and see the ON or OFF options?
