I own a Panasonic phone, Model KXTG6582T with 2 handsets.

I own a Panasonic phone, Model KXTG6582T with 2 handsets. Date of purchase: 12/17/2010.
I have a message on the screen of the base unit and handset -Check tel line. I checked the telephone line and the AC connection and there appear to be no problems. When I try to use both handsets, there is no connection made to the telephone line. I know the telephone line is functioning, because another phone I have on the same line provides service.
Please advise.

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Please try this one check of functions: unplug the phone cord from the other phone, the one on the same line that actually works.

Then wait 2 minutes, after powering Off the problem Panasonic phone's base station.

Then after 2 minutes, power just the Panasonic/problem phone On again.

Check it's connection to the phone line.

See if there's a message on the Panasonic phone about the line, now.

See if you get a dial tone, can dial, etc.

What is the result?
