I have lost my book and need to change my greeting, Please

JA: How long has this been going on?
Customer: I just recently moved, so my greeting has my old phone number . I need to change the greeting with my current phone number.
JA: How old is the phone?
Customer: I am guessing 3 years?
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have the video on the computer, but my phone does not give me the right commands when I put in #302

Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your phones.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) The FULL Model Number of the phone system you are working with? If this is a cordless system, that model should be printed on a sticker on the bottom or back of the main base unit.

2) What phone service provider (phone company) you have for this phone line?

3) What happens when you TRY to change the greeting?

Model #KZX-TGC220, provider: VerizonI do not get the same responses as it shows on the video. I just get the phonebk instructions, nothing about my greeting

No, I just went into the internet, typed in panasonic telephones, change greeting. A video came up showing me to press menu and enter #302. However the selections are not the same on my phone as on the video

OK - what exactly is different from the video to your system?

And let me send you a link to a video that I have, which should be similar to your system, at least in the form that you have TWO "soft keys" to START this operation.

Also, make sure the system is NOT in use (not on a call and NO dial tone) when you start the process.

Please let me know what you see when you go through this process.

If pressing MENU # ***** 0 2 does NOT get into the "Record Now" screen, please take a look at the MAIN BASE UNIT of your system and CONFIRM that there are SEVERAL buttons on the main base, including an ANSWER ON/OFF button and a PLAY/STOP button.

Also can you CONFIRM that your MAIN BASE UNIT has the buttons I mentioned (see attached image).
