I have the KX-TGD224. I set it up and fully charged it. All units display "check Tel line" I don't know what that means. I cannot make or receive calls. Incoming calls are directed to voice mail. Not clear to me if handsets are registered properly.

May I ask:

1) What PHONE LINE are you connecting the MAIN BASE UNIT to?

That is, was the phone line already in place and working (with a different phone) OR is this a new phone line?
