The Panasonic KX-TGEA20 is the handset. The model number of the base unit please?
Have you tried pressing the ERASE button twice ? ...this would erase completely/all messages (heard and/or unheard) of the answering system built-in into the Panasonic
Yes please and then post back with an update when able.
Then it would most likely be not the answering system of the Panasonic but the VoiceMail system of Charter.
Have you tried dialing * 9 9 or even your own home number and listen for voice prompts/instructions?
Can you please try to press and hold the # ***** until the handset beeps?
Bear with me; press OFF first, then press & hold the # ***** Would there now be a beep sound from the handset?
Then can you please remove (all) the handset battery and unplug the base unit for an extended period of time even overnight. This would serve as a soft RESET as it would appear to be a systems glitch.
Please post back how things turned up by then and/or should additional information be needed.
