Hi Valerie and welcome to JustAnswer,

Thank you for the question and your patience. Should you still need assistance for information purposes only...

Initially, bear with us; re-confirm and post back with the complete model number of the "...Panasonic cordless phone..." Additionally, who is your phone service provider please?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Where can I find the model number, Verizon is my phone service provider.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
think I found the model number on bottom of phone. Model #KXTGA931T
Expert:  Louie replied 1 year ago.

Appreciate the additional information Valerie.

The KX-TGA931T would be the handset. The base unit please? ...normally at the bottom or on a name plate/sticker

A review; the Panasonic's Caller ID feature can be turned on using MENU / 1 6 2 handset or * 1 6 2 base / [1] .

If not working as expected, have you confirmed subscription to this feature/option with Verizon?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What do you mean by using MENU/162 handset or *1 6 2 base/(1). I know where the menu button is but how do I put in the /(slash) and the 1 6 2 handset or base.
Expert:  Louie replied 1 year ago.

Sorry, the "/" was meant to be a step separator

Can you please try on the handset MENU 1 6 2 1

And/or on the base unit, MENU * 1 6 2 1

...and then SAVE then OFF

Great Valerie! Good to hear that the issue has been resolved with the MENU * 1 6 2 1, congratulations.

Glad that the above information served your purpose and would appreciate a Positive Rating and/or an Accept if so warranted (if haven't done so).

Good luck and thank you too for the opportunity to be able to share the information.
