Ask a Phone Systems Question, Get an Answer ASAP!

You may not need a new phone, as there are a few things to check.
But first, may I ask:
1) The AGE of this system?
2) WHEN did this issue first begin (or was noticed)?
3) What phone service provider (phone company) do you have for this phone line?
4) If you have ANY other devices (phones, fax, alarm system, etc.) attached to this same phone line (not part of the MAIN system)?
With the symptom of "static" on the line or messages, I know if replacing the phone would be the solution - but you are free to try.
Please let me know if you would like to continue with further troubleshooting steps.
