Customer Question

We have the KX-TG6841 phone system. On calls, the person called can hear us but we cannot hear the person called. By pressing mute, neither the caller or the called can hear the other, so pressing mute does not solve the Problem.

Hello, I’m Nathan, and I’ll be assisting you today. My livelihood depends on your positive feedback, so your satisfaction is my highest priority.

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble.

Can you tell me a bit more about the problem please:

1) If you have multiple handsets (within the same system), does this happen with all of them?
2) Are there other phones or even a fax, outside of this system but on the same line? If so are they working properly?
3) Is this a landline from the local phone/cable company, or a VOIP service (vonage/magicjack/etc)?
4) Do you have dsl service on the same line?
5) If you put a handset into speakerphone mode, can you hear the caller then?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
1) Yes.
2) No
3) Local phone co. Charter.
4) We have DSL service; I am not aware of it being on same line.
5) No

Thank you for confirming.

At this point, it can be either a line or a panasonic issue.

Is it possible for you to get/buy/borrow a simple corded phone to test on the line, so we can isolate the issue further?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
We'll try to borrow one.

Thanks, ***** ***** help us to determine if it is a problem in the panasonic base station, or a problem with the line.
Let me know the results, and I"ll advise further.
