How to take all these medicines correctly without feeling so sick?

I feel for you...this regimen can be confusing to schedule and even more so when you have side effects!

Here is my asssessment:

1) Doxycyline: likely causing the nausea. It is normally recommended to take it on an empty stomach for best absorption, but when the patient has nausea it should be taken with food in your stomach. You can take this an hour after breakfast (with Metronidazole) and and hour after dinner (with Metronidazole).

2) Omeprazole: works best when taken at least 30 minutes before meals. It does not have to be exactly 30 minutes, so you could schedule this to be taken with the Bismuth. I am not sure when you eat breakfast and dinner, but try to schedule it an hour before breakfast (with Bismuth) and an hour before dinner (with Bismuth).

3) Metronidazole: works best when taken with food. You can take this an hour after breakfast (with Doxycycline), with lunch (with Bismuth) and and an hour after dinner (with Doxycycline).

4) Bismuth Subsalicylate: should be separated from Doxycycline by 2-3 hours, as it can reduce absorption of Doxycycline. Take Bismuth an hour before breakfast (with Omeprazole), with lunch (with Metronidazole), an hour before dinner (with Omeprazole) and at bedtime.

Here is an example of a schedule with times (please adjust based on when you eat meals):

6 am: Omeprazole and Bismuth

8 am: Doxycycline and Metronidazole and Vitamin D

12 pm: Metronidazole and Bismuth

5 pm: Omeprazole and Bismuth

7 pm: Doxycycline and Metronidazole

9 pm: Bismuth and Rosuvastatin

6 am: Omeprazole and Bismuth

8 am: breakfast, Doxycycline and Metronidazole and Vitamin D

12 pm: lunch, Metronidazole and Bismuth

6:30 pm: Omeprazole and Bismuth

8:30 pm: dinner, Doxycycline and Metronidazole

10:30 pm: Bismuth and Rosuvastatin
