    Hi, I have a friend who is abusing their prescription medication. Would alerting their pharmacy/pharmacies effectively put them on a blacklist to ensure they are not physically able to obtain the medication any longer?

  • Severe arthritis, fibromyalgia, bilateral knee replacements, bursitis in shoulder
    I have severe arthritis, fibromyalgia, bilateral knee replacements, bursitis in my shoulder and hips, and a fused C4, C5, C6. A few days ago I fell down and split my open on the dresser but it's not bad enough for stitched (just some blood and a bump). My main concern is my neck and back hurt so bad the Ibuprofen, Exedrin, Tylenol and a few other OTC meds just do nothing for the pain. Suggestions?
    JA: The Pharmacist can help. Just a couple quick questions before I transfer you. What medications do you take daily? Are you allergic to any medications?
    Customer: No Allergies. Take Quietipine and Cymbalta for sleep, Anxiety and pain. Multivitamin, Calcium/magnesium and Vistral for panic attacks as necessary. Melatonin helps for sleep also. Oh, I also have sleep apnea and use a Bipap every night faithfully. Couldn't live without it.
    JA: Anything else in your medical history you think the Doctor should know?
    Customer: I've had my gallbladder removed and a hysterectomy many years ago. I'm 65
