Two nights ago: .25 Xanax...
Two nights ago: .25 Xanax at 10:30 pm bed at 11 pm still up at 12:30 am did some relaxation yoga at 12:30 am .5 Xanax at 12:45 am slept from 1-4:30 am .25 Xanax at 4:30 am slept from 5-8:30 am got up at 8:30 am Last night: Xanax .25 at 11 pm Xanax .33 at 12:30 am Regular Tylenol x 3 (usually makes me drowsy.) Didn’t sleep all night. In the past Promethazine makes me sleepy if I take it 30 minutes before going to bed. (At the 25 mg dosage) But it also leaves me groggy the next day. Suggestions on what to take and when to go to bed? The insomnia is anxiety and depression related.

I would try melatonin and if that doesn't work buy some Benadryl 25 mg OTC
Ask Your Own Pharmacy Question
Oh I see. I re-read your question. I would take Xanax 1mg 30 to 60 minutes before going to bed. 0.25 mg is too low a dose for sleep. Please let me know if have more questions.

One other thing you want to do is to not eat or drink anything after dinner. That helps a lot with good night sleep too.

Is Benadryl the same anti-hisitamine as Promethezine and Seroquel? I don't want to add new drugs tonight, but long term I am open to other options.
Benadryl is similar antihistamine to Promethazine. You want to take a low dose first to gauge how groggy you feel the next day. You can increase or decrease the dose between 12.5mg to 50mg depending on how well you sleep and how much grogginess you have the next day.

I feel better already! Thank you.

ElanorTracy, CA

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

JulieLockesburg, AR

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.

John and StefanieTucson, AZ

I have been dealing with an extremely serious health crisis for over three years, and one your physicians asked me more questions, gave me more answers and encouragement than a dozen different doctors who have been treating me!!
