There are alternatives to help with sleep that you could try. My "go-to" for sleep aids is Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Taking it with Celexa can cause an increase in side effects (such as drowsiness), but is otherwise safe - you do not have to worry about serotonin levels with this combination.

The side effects of Celexa are generally short term and subside as your body adjusts to it (within a week or two).

If you would like to try something more natural for sleep, there are a couple of essential oils that you could try as well. I personally use Serenity (made by doTerra), but is a little more costly. There are some cheaper ones as well (Peaceful Sleep, Sweet Dreams), but I have not tried these. These are perfectly safe with Celexa or similar medications.

Lastly - with Celexa, you may not need anything to help with sleep or anxiety. Balancing out your serotonin levels with the one medication could actually help both without the need for tryptophan, Benadryl, or anything else.

I recommend stopping everything else, and trying the Celexa for 2-4 weeks as this may resolve everything. At that point, taking Benadryl (or a natural supplement other than tryptophan) may only be needed periodically if at all.

Any form of diphenhydramine is fine and will not increase serotonin levels. This is the most common ingredient in all sleep aids as well as over-the-counter antihistamines.

If you do start taking an antidepressant of any kind, including Celexa, I would strongly suggest stopping the tryptophan altogether. It does not stay in the body long, and would be safe to stop one day and begin Celexa on the next (24 hours later).

Hydroxyzine is the active ingredient in both - the HCL and Pamoate are what is known as "salts". The drug hydroxyzine itself cannot be stabilized by itself and must be combined with another component, forming one of these. Many drugs are actually HCL salts. There is no difference in how they work. It is perfectly safe to switch from one to the other.

I have not tried many different essential oil brands, only doterra. I work overnights as a pharmacist and use serenity to help me sleep during the day and it definitely helps me.

3 grams (3000 mg) of tryptophan is the recommended maximum dose for sleep.

Seizures are a possible symptom of overdose of hydroxyzine (either HCL or pamoate). I have not read or seen anything that specifically stated the pamoate form could cause seizures.
