Oh! Lamictal was not in your original question. Thanks for clarifying.
Lamictal and Xanax will make you more tired feeling than taking either alone, but no other interactions to note. Just avoid driving until you know how taking these together will affect you.
Main side effect with Lamictal are blurred vision, nausea/stomach pain/vomiting/diarrhea, tremor, sore throat, rash (if titrated too quickly), dizziness, drowsiness, and fever. These typically dose related (more common with higher doses) and if you take it with other anticonvulsants (which you are not). Should be low risk on side effects for you. Some patients do complain of mental fog or memory problems, which are also often dose related.
