Customer Question

Can I safely stop Duavee? I've been on it about 4 years, am 58.5 years old, female. My leg cramps are getting to be too much. I also have ankle replacement surgery coming up in 1 month where I will be immobile for 2 weeks. I have needed hormone help one way or another since the age of 16, Duavee is the only medication I take and I'd like to get off it to see if the leg cramps (which wake me each night and disturb me during the day). What can I expect? Should I taper off, cold turkey or keep taking it?

You can safely stop Duavee "cold turkey". If your leg cramps don't subside after 2-4 weeks then I would suggest starting the Duavee back as you will know the medication was not the cause of the leg cramps. Hopefully this fully answers your question. Once satisfied please rate my answer. Thanks.
