I have had ongoing problems with -polar II for the last 25

Customer Question

I have had ongoing problems with Bi-polar II for the last 25 years causing me disability and unable to have any fraction of a normal life. I've tried many different meds and combinations of meds with little effect except keeping me from my 'danger zone'. Th eonly med that I've always had to re-treat to is 'paxil'. Currently (for about 2 or 3 years) I'm taking paxil, wellbutrin, lamictil with no improvement, except keeping me from my 'danger zone'. I've tried adding 'adderall to my mix with bad next day functionalability(a.k.a. wiped out). Curious if trying something similar to 'adderall with 'benzedrine??? I'm up for ANY recomendations. I've LOST approx 25 years of having anything approaching 'normal life'. I'm now 64 years old and would like to be less of a parasite and more of climbing back into the world! Can you help?
Thank you.

Other medication options include Abilify, Saphris, Benzodiazepines (like xanax), Carbamazepine, Depakote, lithium, and amitryptiline. I would suggest adding Abilify or a benzodiazepine to your current regiment. If this does not work then lithium would be my next choice as it is an older treatment but shows good results. Hopefully this helps answer your question. Once satisfied please rate my answer. Thanks.
