As I know this is an important decision, I spent quite a bit of time looking at all literature available for crushing Mifeprex tablets. Unfortunately, there is nothing that says the tablets can be crushed or that they shouldn't be crushed. In other words, nothing stating that you can't crush it, but nothing stating it is okay to crush it. Also, I tried to call the company (1-***-***-****); however, they have no one could provide any live support (their internal product experts) on the weekend.
With that said, and I know that you're looking for an immediate response, I would think that it would be okay to crush the tablets for the following reasons:
1 - The formulation type (capsule, caplet, gel cap, tablet, sprinkles, etc...) is primarily used not just to hold the medication together, but to control the delivery of the medication. When crushing a tablet (Mifeprex is a tablet), the absorption rate is increase. Since Mifeprex is rapidly absorbed to begin with, crushing the tablet would not do anything to greatly alter that.
2 - Almost all medications that should not be crushed for whatever reason appear in many of the pharmacy references. I could not find this on any of the "Do Not Crush" lists.
3 - Almost all medications that should not be crushed have a line in their detailed package insert stating that they should not be crushed or split and should be taken whole. I could not find anything of the sorts in the package insert for Mifeprex.
While I realize I did not provide an exact answer, I hope this information will provide enough to help you decide what you would like to do.
