I'm glad to hear that the depression is improving!
As for tapering off the Lexapro, as you already know, you cannot abruptly discontinue it. There are no exact guidelines for tapering it, but given your relative short duration of treatment, you might be able to wean a bit faster than most. It's recommended that you make a gradual reduction and if you start to experience side effects from the reduction, return to the dose just prior to the side effects. I'd recommend you decrease to 2.5mg qday rather than just stop taking it.
