A urine drug screen for THC will indicate a positive result for anything greater than 50 ng/ml. How high the value is cannot accurately predict usage patterns, as there may be one time users that can test with levels greater than 100 ng/ml shortly after smoking marijuana. Urine levels of THC are more indicative of 'recent' use. Typically, in the normal population, levels should return to below 50 ng/ml after two days of use. With that said, some studies have shown that 'regular' users can build levels near 1,000 ng/ml, and would take many days to weeks to clear.
