Hi, Dr. W here. I am a board-licensed veterinarian with over 15 years of experience. I am reading your post now.

How are you doing today? I hope you are having a great day!

I really enjoy helping people with their pets So, I hope we are able to get to the bottom of what’s going on or at least develop a plan to find that out.

I’ll try to answer your question quickly so that you don’t have to wait around.

You will most likely get a prompt asking you if you want a phone call—that prompt is automatic—it’s not from me.

It can be much easier to get a picture of what is going on over the phone or over Facetime or WhatsApp.

If you decide a phone call or video chat is what you would like, the website will charge you more for the call than just for typing, but it’s an option if you want it.

After our conversation is complete, feel free to leave any follow-up questions here in this thread as well, and I will see them and reply as soon as I can.

Also, if you have any pics that show the area of concern please post them here or even just fun pics of your pet, I love to see those

As an initial clarifying question: what is your #1 concern tonight about your pet and how long has it been going on? AND does your pet take any medications or have any medical issues?

Thanks

Customer
Hello thank you for responding. My day was ok until now. I have a 3 month old dutch/lionhead bunny, her name is ***** ***** adjusted very quickly, is very playful & is such a sweetheart.
Yesterday I noticed she was a bit more on the sleepy side so I cuddled with her thinking that's what she wanted. Today my boyfriend & I noticed that she kept losing her balance, while she would clean herself or when she would go to do her happy jumps (zoomies) she would just tumble over. Her appetite & her bowel movements haven't changed. I'm not sure if I should be worried & take her to be seen or if this is something that happens.

What you are describing can sometimes be caused by mild inner ear inflammation or ear infection or other infection.

Rabbits can worsen quickly, so if possible I would recommend getting her an appointment tomorrow to have her checked out to see if some antibiotics and anti-inflammatories are needed.

Customer
That's what I had read upon researching what it could be. Yes I plan on taking her to our local vet first thing tomorrow. Are there any other alarming symptoms I should worry about or be on the lookout for? I love animals & hate when something is wrong. I am stressing
Customer
Would you possibly be able to estimate how much the type of testing or treatment needed would cost?

usually just an examination and then one or  prescriptions is the starting point so tat shouldn;t be too much but prices vary greatly from city to city

Customer
Thank you
Customer
Are there any other symptoms I should be worried about until I get her to the vet?

lethargy, not pooping, and not eating, also grinding teeth which indicates pain in rabbits

You're welcome. It's my pleasure to help and I’m glad your pet has such a dedicated family! I hope you have a great day! Please save my website so you can reach me again later for new questions: https://www.justanswer.com/veterinary/expert-icupetvet/
