I suspect that you're describing a postural repetitive myoclonus - episodic (several minute duration) head tremor that is a high-frequency "yes" or "no" movement of the head and is often confused with focal seizures. Can you upload a video of this behavior to an external site such as YouTube and then give me the link to it?

These tremors may improve and become less frequent over time and rarely cause any clinical dysfunction. A specialist veterinary neurologist (please see here: www.acvim.org) is likely to make the diagnose visually. Advanced diagnostics would involve MRI or cerebrospinal fluid analysis - neither of which should be important considerations in a 14 year old. Prednisone can be prescribed to see if the tremors are steroid-responsive but this shouldn't be a consideration in a diabetic.

These tremors are not characteristic of diabetic neuropathy and brain tumor would be expected to cause worsening symptoms including seizures. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
