My dog last night has woken up vomiting a yellow colour

Customer Question

Hello, my dog last night has woken up vomiting a yellow colour containing food bits. Her diet is a balanced science one and she has kept on top of that.
Although, the vomiting has become frequent but not changed into sort of a brown mucus with strains of blood going through. She has not even very much as usual today, only eaten what I've been able to hand feed her.
She has not been as bright or happy as she usually is, as she's still a puppy. And her right back leg is being affected as she is now limping 😓
What could be the cause?

Hello, I am afraid that the expert you have requested is not currently available. Still I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.
How long has she been showing signs?
Did you mean that the vomit is now brown with blood streaks? Does it look like ground coffee?
Can she keep water down?
Are her gums nice and pink (not white/pale)? Moist or sticky?
If you press on her belly, does she have any tensing, tenderness,
discomfort, or pain?
Could she have eaten anything she should not have (ie bones, stones, socks, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?
Any diarrhea? Any black stool?
Have you been giving her anything for this limp?
Did it just start?
