Chipmunk breathing but not moving. Need help?

Customer Question

Found a Chipmunk in the driveway. He was not moving. But was breathing. He still is. We got him inside our home and put him in a open box. Not sure what we can do to help him?

I am quite worried about how poorly this little lad sounds. Therefore, if he is this collapsed, it would be best to seek local medical attention for him urgently. To do so, you can take him to your local vet. They can take him in, assess the extent of his situation and treat if possible. Afterwards, they will be able to turn him over the local rehabilitation center to give him the best chance of recovery and a return to the wild.
Otherwise, I would note that you can contact your local rehabilitation center directly to help him (as they will have connections to get him medical help). To find the one near you, you can check @

Overall, this little one sounds to be in a very bad way. Therefore, we'd want to consider keeping him warm and somewhere calm/quiet. But while doing so, we really need to arrange getting him medical aid since he may not survive otherwise if he is this collapsed.
