Do fleas die in the winter because it is too cold? Or should i continue ginving my dog advantage?

It is recommended to continue topical treatments monthly until you have had your second good frost. If the temperatures remain in the 30-40's thereafter then usually the advantage can be stopped. There are some climates where year round is practically required like here in Kentucky where it just never seems to stay cold long enough. If the temperatures do increase during the winter season to over 50-60 degrees then check him daily for any presence of fleas and apply advantage when needed.
