Do you have animals in the house with fleas. If so they need to be treated with frontline and the environment attended to aswell. Vacuuming under furniture and washing all bedding twice daily is usually enough as long as the animals have been treated. There are sprays and powder that you can use on the carpets and furniture to kill the fleas but with children in the home it is best avoided unless the infestation is severe. Just shampooing your childs hair really should do the trick as she isn't a fleas normal host and they do not stay long on humans. Lather with regular shampoo, let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse. This can be repeated. These may not be fleas but lice or other bugs that children commonly contract from other children or their hairbrushes so if this doesn't work contact her pediatrician for more assistance.
