If the vet is part of a group practice with others, there may be some guidelines within the practice, but for the most part, there are no rules, just the suggestion that they look professional in order to be considered professional.

It's considered a personal freedom as long as he/she isn't exposing themself (naked or partially naked).

If they are part of a group and their choice of clothes bothers you for any reason, just ask for one of the other doctors.
