Hello, DrRoy79 responding to your message regarding Sushi, know you are worried, I'm concerned as well. Please soak in warm and shallow water for 5 minutes 3 times day. What you are describing maybe an impacted and infected hemi penis. Send photos and video. We will discuss further when you reply.

We are also concerned because it lost some weight
Photos Help, Thanks. Entire vent area is swollen, yes suspect anAbscessed hemi penis. Goal is to keep alive until seen by a reptile veterinarian. We commonly have to do surgery to drain, the infection is most likely spreading through out the body.
Soak in filtered water at 90 degrees, use a thermometer, for 5-10 minutes 3-4 times day, when dry apply small amount of triple antibiotic cream. If not eating, buy Fluckers Repta Boost from PetSmart or Amazon.

What type of cream does neosporin work? Do you think it will have a chance of survival?
Customer
Also how does something like this happen? We gave keep her tank very clean and has a a regular feeding schedule, did we do something wrong?
neosporin is ok. You didn't do anything wrong, this is a common problem. With out seeing a reptile veterinarian, death from systemic infection is likely. Even seeing a reptile veterinarian, survival rate may be only 50-70%.
