Customer Question
She hadn’t eaten in...

She hadn’t eaten in about two weeks. She does swim around like normal, but I do see her head out of the water more.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. What sort of animal are we talking about?

Red ear slider turtle.

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK. The Expert will know if the turtle will be able to digest that. What is the turtle's name?

Lola. I am not sure if she is a bot or a girl . Just named her that.

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Lola?

Other than she won’t eat, she did hid out under her rock for a few days on the day side of her tank.

I must tell you I found this site by accident and was amazed when I asked a question of the Veteranians online. I wish I could have found it sooner it could have made such a difference in the outcome of my pet's surgery. However, I am passing along the information to my sister-in-law (a cat-rescue person who is also a nurse), and perhaps it will help someone else who may experience the same problem. The doctor who answered my question was amazing, and while it didn't come it time to change the outcome of my situation, it is reassuring to know the caliber of Vets/Doctors that you have at JustAnswer. Thank you for being there.
