My desert tortoise has just stopped eating! (or drinking)

Customer Question

My desert tortoise has just stopped eating! (or drinking) Anything! Other than that, she looks healthy to me. Any ideas? It's been EXTREMELY hot here, and she got fed some morning glory flowers about a week ago. I read that only the seeds were toxic?

My name is ***** ***** I have been a Vet tech for 30+ years with special interest in reptiles and reptile rescue.

I double checked my charts about feeding Morning glories to tortoises and but the charts I consulted said not to feed that they are toxic:

The greenish you had seen from the Vent sounds like Diarrhea or loose stool. I am concerned because the Morning glories have a diuretic effect. I would like you to start giving Rose a soak in a 50/50 warm water and Pedialyte soak. to aid with dehydration. She will need to be seen by a Herp Vet to be checked out thoroughly and get her strated on medication to help her. If you supply a State I can locate a Herp Vet for you.
