Is there a fee to ask a question? Bearded dragon. My 2 year
My 2 year old male bearded dragon housed alone (no other pets in house) has never had any previous health issues. We use papertowels and butcher paper for cage floor only and any poop in his cage is always cleaned up immediately. For a day and a half he has been keeping one eye, the same eye, closed most of the day. It doesn't have any discharge or discoloration. When i first noticed it yesterday, i saw a really small piece of skin on his eyelid that i thought maybe was stuck shed. I took a damp clean wash cloth with water and was able to gentle rub it away. He still kept his eye closed after. There is no bleeding, no redness. Today he's still keeping it closed. I dripped some clean warm water over the closed lid and covered it with a clean warm wet wash cloth for a few seconds, but he's still keeping it closed like he's babying it. Any suggestions as to what is going on?… read more

I must tell you I found this site by accident and was amazed when I asked a question of the Veteranians online. I wish I could have found it sooner it could have made such a difference in the outcome of my pet's surgery. However, I am passing along the information to my sister-in-law (a cat-rescue person who is also a nurse), and perhaps it will help someone else who may experience the same problem. The doctor who answered my question was amazing, and while it didn't come it time to change the outcome of my situation, it is reassuring to know the caliber of Vets/Doctors that you have at JustAnswer. Thank you for being there.
