Hi,

The seasonal change does promote Hibernation. Even raising the temps and keep the lights on longer may not stop the hibenation. I would suggest a Herp Vet visit to have the turtle checked out to be sure there is nothing going on that needs to be addressed. If all is fine with the turtle there should be no problem with the hibernation. The biggest thing is you do not want to hibernate a sick or debilitated turtle. If the turtle is going into hibernation make sure to withhold food as that can rot in the stomach during the hibernation. I can help locate a Herp Vet if you need one. Joan
