Customer Question
My 9yr old cock-a-poo...

My 9yr old cock-a-poo started yesterday while I was away. She hasn’t had a mishap in the house for over two yrs, she went to the door but no one was here to let her out so she did her business at the door. Then off & on (at least 5 times) the rest of the day & evening the stool became softer, even runny. The last time she had strained so until she was bleeding. I cleaned her up, patted her backside with peroxide, she got thru the night fine, didn’t want to go out today until after 12:noon. Her 1st stool was pretty solid then softer each time until she was straining again and it was just a long skinny string that took forever to drop. No more blood, thank God! What’s going on?

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. The Expert will know what to do about this bleeding. I'll connect you ASAP. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?

She ‘s been eating plane boiled chicken & plane white rice mixed with “Cesar’s” kibble for about a month now.

I am very sorry to see that you have not received a response to your initial question before now. I just came online and found that your question had not been addressed. How is your companion at this time?

Have there been any changes to the diet? New food, including a change of flavors or protein source within the same brand? New treats? Bones? Has any human food been fed in the last few days (even if your pet regularly receives it)? Torn up toys or trash? Stressful changes to the environment? Addition of medication? Toxin ingestion?
