Customer Question

JoJo is 4.5 months old and teething. She has a reduced appetite, which I think is related to that, but has also been having diarrhea and tenesmus this week. On top of it, I wonder if she may have pink eye. At her puppy class last Saturday another owner mentioned her dog had it over the previous week, and JoJo played with that dog. She has one mildly goopy-green eye. She’s still quite spunky and wants to run and play hard - no notable lethargy. Drinking plenty of fluids. Wondering if ok to watch and see. She gets a variety of different types of treats and is transitioning from one type of kibble that had multiple proteins to one that’s just chicken.

Also, I have not noticed mucous or blood in the stool. But she does poop and then have a continued urge, sometimes releasing a few additional drops of very loose stool. She also has started doing a bit of scooting, new this week, which makes me wonder if it might be an anal gland issue?
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
She has had to go out three times since bedtime whereas she usually sleeps through the night, and this last time she vomited a large volume of kibble. Am thinking I should focus on fluids for the next 12-24 hours and then possibly try a bit of rice with boiled chicken.
