Hello, this is Dr. Linda. I hope I can help with your concerns today.

Toxicity from grapes can vary from pet to pet, but you just do not want to take a chance that Hunter is one of the unlucky ones. I would administer 3% hydrogen peroxide ( fresh bottle, not one that has been sitting under the sink for a couple of years) if he only recently ingested the grapes. The dose is 1 teaspoon per 5 pounds with the maximum dose being 3 tablespoons. Jog him around outdoors & if he does not vomit in 15-20 minutes, repeat the peroxide. You can always take him to you vet for easier treatment, but if he does vomit, I would recommend having his kidney values evaluated in a couple of days.

Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns & let me know if you get Hunter to vomit. I will have additional follow up.

Thank you.

It Worked!!! He just threw it all up!!!

That is great!! Now I would start Hunter on some Pepcid just to make sure there is no irritation from the peroxide. Approximately how much does he weigh?

I am also going to close out your other question that you opened so you do not get charged twice.

Ok great.85- 90 lbs

how much pepsid?

He is gorgeous!!

So, just to be safe, give him 20 mg of Pepcid for 2 days to make sure the peroxide does not irritate his stomach & esophagus.

I would also just have his kidney values evaluated in a couple of days to make sure kidney function has not been affected. Very, very unlikely with such a quick decontamination, but better safe than sorry.
