My boxer ate 2small pieces of jobe organic fertilizer stake but I saw you have already addressed this. When I called animal poison control they want $65 to answer a question. My local vet told me to call because they did not have an answer for me. He seems fine now it has been about 30 minutes

Ok

Terri, while the organic fertilizers are more toxic than the inorganic ones due the presence of bone, blood, or feather meal which can contain enough iron to cause iron toxicosis in dogs, Gunny didn't ingest enough of this stake to cause anything more than transient gastrointestinal distress in the form of inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea which shouldn't need to be treated if it did arise. There's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns.
