I am sorry to hear this has happened.

How much does your dog weigh and was only one eaten?
How long ago did he eat the medication?

Ask Your Own Dog Question
Dog Specialist: Dr. G., Veterinarian replied 6 months ago

If a single pantoprazole was eaten and your dog is more than about 20 pounds or so, there should not be any issue. The medication could cause a little bit of upset stomach, but that is really unlikely.

Dog Specialist: Dr. G., Veterinarian replied 6 months ago

If your dog is under 20 pounds, I would feed a bland diet of boiled chicken and white rice to help prevent any upset stomach for 24 hours. The medication should then be out of his system. Again, the medicine should not cause any major problem or systemic issue. Your do should be fine.
