How long ago did Bany ingest the phentermine?

about 2 1/2 hours, i don't see anything strange on her so far, what can i do
Dog Specialist: PitRottMommy, Veterinary Nurse replied 9 months ago

She truly needs to see a vet if you're sure she ingested this medication. She should have been made to vomit within the first few minutes following the ingestion. Phentermine in an animal with a known heart condition can be fatal. Additionally, Bany has taken roughly 9mg/kg of this medication which is considered a dose which will yield symptoms. Agitation, disorientation, vocalization, etc. may occur and she could certainly benefit from a dose of activated charcoal to try to avoid absorption of additional medication in to her system. At very least, she needs to be monitored closely by staff. If she cannot get in to see your vet, she needs to go to an ER facility for treatment.

even when all this time pass and no symptoms? or changes on her
Dog Specialist: PitRottMommy, Veterinary Nurse replied 9 months ago

That's correct. The medication will have to be absorbed for her to have symptoms. We do typically begin to see symptoms around the 2 hour mark so you may well begin seeing sign soon. I am more concerned about the condition of her heart through this ingestion, honestly, as phentermine can cause changes in heart rate and blood pressure if a high enough dose is consumed. Though the risk is likely limited that you'll see a major cardiac event, if one were to happen she'd need to be in the care of veterinary professionals who could help her immediately.
