BP of 67 under anesthesia is fine.....

Ask Your Own Dog Question
Dog Specialist: Dr B, Veterinarian replied 8 months ago

difficult to say whether dental should have been stopped.....the heart rate could have been high due to so many reasons...some drugs will cause that...

Ask Your Own Dog Question
Dog Specialist: Dr B, Veterinarian replied 8 months ago

did it stay that high whole surgery? They may have used propofol and your dog may have been on the lighter side which could cause a higher heart rate...

This sounds like an unfortunate but fluke incident......

Ask Your Own Dog Question
Dog Specialist: Dr B, Veterinarian replied 8 months ago

We do dentals everyday and I can tell you that the risk is well worth it because risk in general very very low and pay off from dentals to health very high 99.9% of the time....
