In response to your question, grapes leaves are not toxic only the fruit. As far as the hummus, the high-fat content of tahini can cause vomiting, diarrhea, pancreatitis, etc. If the hummus had onion and garlic this can be toxic as well. However, I doubt that 2 tablespoons would have enough garlic or onions to be toxic to a 16 lbs dog.

I would keep an eye on him for the next 24 hours if he develops vomiting, diarrhea, etc. Hold the food and water for 6-8 hours, start him on Pepcid AC (famotidine) 10mg 1/2 tablet every 12 hours. Switch his diet to a bland diet of rice with boiled boneless chicken or ground beef for a few days. If you notice abdominal pain, restlessness, continues to vomit despite fasting, etc. he should be seen by a veterinarian for a hands-on examination.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service. If you have any follow-up questions don't hesitate to ask. If finished, please take a moment to rate my service. See you again soon!
