My 10 week old puppy threw up just a small amount of a mucus

Customer Question

My 10 week old puppy threw up just a small amount of a mucus like spit yesterday morning around 7 am
JA: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the dog eat anything unusual?
Customer: I do think him and my one year old dog got into some trash. He threw up again this morning mostly a mucus again but it was pretty green. From what I'm reading it's probably because of something he ate and shouldn't get food or water for 6-8 hours?
JA: What is the dog's name?
Customer: Bandit
JA: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Bandit?
Customer: No he has his first shot and will be getting his second in about 2 weeks. He is playing and seems fine and has been fine all day yesterday and this morning.

Have there been any changes to the diet? New food? New treats? Bones? Human food? Torn up toys? Stressful changes to the environment?
